In this Chapter we will cover how and which investors to approach. It consists of one module but probably one of the most important modules with useful links allowing to find the investors yourself
Negotiations, Term sheet
This chapter covers the full explanation of all the key terms and conditions that investors will introduce, from concepts of dilution, liquidation preference, governance, exit terms, minority projection rights etc, etc. To cover it all there are 4 modules, Negotiation Part 1, 2,3 and 4.
Employee Stock Option plan
A critical part of any start up is how to motivate employees and often share is a way to give employees additional motivation to stay with the company and share in its success. Given that it is an important part of how equity is distributed in a company we briefly cover this with one module.
Closing a deal
After you have completed the term sheet negotiation and due diligence is completed the final contracts and agreements need to be signed to close the transaction. In this module of two we cover the key agreements and what they include
